French Oak "Farmhouse Reserve" Ale (in 750ml bottles): A pale ale barrel aged for over 2 years in cabernet sauvignon soaked french oak. Midway through aging it was green hopped with our own hops. Finished in a flemish, farmhouse style. Very limited production! Great with hard cheese and marvelous with roasted beef. $19.95/750ml bottle. "The taste is tart and full of oak up front, cloyingly sweet in the middle and the finish is sweet with a touch of dryness...A great beer for making pork or lamb stew. Others suggested pairing this beer with cheese...it would go great with Chinese dim sum."*
West Porter (in 750ml bottles!): This is our "classic" recipe of the Westporter. We use 6 different malts and two hops to bring one of the world's great Porters to life. This one deserves to be in a cork finished bottle. Only 25 barrels produced. "...The words 'unctuous' and 'luxurious' were used to describe this malty, roasty beer with a medium body and dry finish. Well-liked by all."*
***SOLD OUT*** 2007 Barrel Aged Cranberry Lambic - The world’s foremost cranberry region is our very own South Coast. Thus, we had to brew this beer and indeed, we’ve been a little cran-crazy here at Buzzards Bay Brewing. We brewed a special batch of black lager and barrel aged it in a Cabernet Sauvignon soaked French oak barrel (from the Nevers region) for 12 months. During that time the lactic bacteria (already in the barrel) fermented the remaining sugar and created a deliciously dry and somewhat sour beer. We took some South Coast cranberries fresh from the bog, crushed them and added them to the brew. The cranberries added not only a delightful cranberry aroma and mouth-watering tartness, but also a wonderful red hue. Bottle conditioned, this is a very tasty, tart, South Coast rendition of the traditional lambic style. As this is a natural beverage - unfiltered, unfined and naturally carbonated, expect yeasty stuff as well as bits and pieces of real fruit to be floating around. Great for Thanksgiving! Yeah! Drink now or age for 1 to 5 years. Only available for sale at Buzzards Bay Brewing, 98 Horseneck Rd, Westport, MA $12.95 for each 750ml bottle with cork finish "... This a delicious beer. Ernie, who is a lover of the lambic style, said this is one of the best American lambics he's ever tasted."*

Alt Bier - Buzzards Bay Brewing's Alt is the South Coast's take on a German classic. Brewed with copious amounts of German malts and hops, our Alt is a well-balanced copper hued old-world ale. Like all Alts,
ours toes the line between two worlds. It's brewed with an ale
yeast, but it is treated like a lager. It is fermented and cellared
at a colder temperature, for a longer time than most ales. The
result is a clean, drinkable beer with a very light and warming
estery aroma that accents the earthy Hallertau hops added late in the
boil.

Hefe-Weizen
We added a Buzzards Bay hook to the
traditional Hefe-weizen by using lager
yeast instead of ale. The result is a
fine German style wheat beer loaded with
the aroma of spicy cloves and floral
hops. There is plenty of heft mid palate
and a drawn out pleasantly bitter

Weizen Dopplebock
A big, rich, deceptive monster of a
beer. Combining a hefty 8.5% alcohol
with a balance and drinkability that can
only come from extended lagering time
(in this case 163 days), this is one
heck of a delicious brew. Chew on the
maltiness and ponder the yeast-driven
complexity.
